Early 19th century
Large red twill wool shawl with a central red panel surrounded by embroidered stylised floral motifs including buteh (paisley) motifs in (faded) yellow mid-blue light blue orange and white. There is a border section made up of panels of twill cloth in various colours (red green yellow purple white black) decorated with embroidered palmettes.
