Quilt top made in 1933 by a skilled quiltmaker who dyed feedsack fabric blue for the plain blocks. The pieced block design is known as ‘Arkansas Snowflake’ and is made from feedsacks and shirtings. There is a note attached which reads ‘The last top Mrs Mathews pieced in 1933 for Ethel Mathews at my death’.
