Latter half 20th century
Woman's dress made from strips of black and white cotton cloth. The various seams are decorated and strenghtened with decorative stitching. Some cowrie shells have been stitched to the front of the garment. Along the hem of the dress there is a heavy knotted fringe in pink and white cotton.
