Apron made from a length of very fine silk which is decorated with floral geometric and paisley (buteh) motifs in white silk and gold-coloured metal thread. There are also inscriptions around the outer edge of the apron. The bib has a cartouche (tughra) enclosing the name of Sultan 'Abd-al Hamid (1876-1909) worked in satin stitch.
