A woman seated in a red room illuminated by candlelight. The silk was immersion dyed, fixed with antifusant, painted with acid dye, details added with India ink. From the artist's series "Antoinette", inspired by "Antionette Mason", a character in Jean Rhys' "Wide Sargasso Sea" and Charlotte Brönte's "Jane Eyre".
