A New Zealand soldier stands gaurd over part of the 61 alleged Japanese war criminals, as they depart from Tokyo central station, Tokyo, Japan, en route to Singapore for trial by the British southeast Asia command. Included is the group wanted for alleged atrocities committed against numerous allied war prisoners.
