Japanese soldiers working in the former Japanese internment camp, Kampong Makassar which was until a short time ago one of the most striking examples of Japanese ill-treatment of internees in the Pacific Area. Conditions have improved considerably and medical supplies more plentiful since Allied authorities have taken over.
